A second-generation leader, Dan continues the legacy established by his father, company founder Harold Bax, and his brother, Dale Bax.
Jeff Simmons, P.E., is Vice President and Director of Residential Design at Bax Engineering Company, where he also serves as a minority owner of the firm. With nearly three decades of experience in civil engineering, Jeff leads planning and engineering efforts for residential developments across St. Charles County and the surrounding region. He brings a strong insight into site layout, utility planning, and infrastructure design – ensuring that every project supports long-term community growth and functionality.
Scott Kolkmeyer, P.E., serves as Director of Municipal Design at Bax Engineering Company, where he has played a pivotal role since joining the firm in 1986. A seasoned civil engineer licensed in both Missouri and Illinois, Scott leads the design and construction oversight of critical public infrastructure – including stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, water main extensions, and urban and rural roadway improvements.
Andy Beck, P.L.S., serves as Director of Land Surveying at Bax Engineering Company, where he leads the strategy, coordination, and execution of all survey operations. With two decades of experience in the field of land surveying, Andy ensures the accuracy and integrity of data collection for infrastructure, development, and municipal projects across the region.
Cliff Heitmann, P.E., serves as a Consultant to BAX Engineering Company, providing strategic guidance and technical insight drawn from more than three decades of civil engineering leadership. As former President of BAX Engineering, Cliff played a central role in shaping the firm’s design philosophy, operational standards, and long-standing reputation for thorough, buildable solutions.
