JOIN A GROWING ENGINEERING FIRM

Bax Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in St. Charles, Missouri. We are a locally owned consulting engineering and surveying firm providing civil engineering, land surveying, and development services throughout Missouri and Illinois.

We work on a wide variety of projects including:

• Commercial site development
• Residential subdivisions
• Municipal infrastructure improvements
• Stormwater management and detention design
• Utility extensions and public improvements
• Schools, churches, industrial facilities, and mixed-use developments
• FEMA floodplain and hydraulic studies
• Electrical Utility Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking experienced civil engineering professionals with a background in land development, municipal engineering, or residential development who are looking to take ownership of projects, build client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of a dynamic engineering firm.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare civil engineering designs for commercial, residential, and municipal projects.
• Develop grading, drainage, utility, erosion control, and site development plans.
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, surveyors, contractors, and public agencies.
• Assist with zoning, permitting, and regulatory approvals.
• Attend project meetings and participate in client communication.
• Conduct occasional site visits and construction observations.
• Support project delivery from initial concept through construction.

Experienced candidates may also:

• Serve as Project Manager on assigned projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Develop client relationships and assist with business development.
• Review and seal engineering documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred

• Experience in land development, municipal engineering, or residential subdivision design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience preparing grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater plans.
• Knowledge of Missouri and Illinois permitting and development processes.
• EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
