JOIN A GROWING ENGINEERING FIRM

Bax Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in St. Charles, Missouri. We are a locally owned consulting engineering and surveying firm providing civil engineering, land surveying, and development services throughout Missouri and Illinois.

We work on a wide variety of projects including:

• Commercial site development
• Residential subdivisions
• Municipal infrastructure improvements
• Stormwater management and detention design
• Utility extensions and public improvements
• Schools, churches, industrial facilities, and mixed-use developments
• FEMA floodplain and hydraulic studies
• Electrical Utility Infrastructure Projects

The ideal candidate will have experience preparing civil engineering plans and designs for land development and municipal projects and be comfortable working closely with engineers to develop construction documents from concept through permitting.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare civil engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Develop grading, drainage, utility, erosion control, and site development plans.
• Assist with stormwater calculations, detention design, and utility layouts.
• Coordinate design requirements with project engineers and project managers.
• Prepare permit and agency submittal documents.
• Perform quantity calculations and assist with cost estimating.
• Support projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction.
• Conduct occasional site visits to gather information and verify existing conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Experience preparing civil engineering construction plans.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility, and site development design principles.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Preferred

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design.
• Experience with commercial site development, municipal engineering, or residential subdivision projects.
• Familiarity with Missouri and Illinois permitting and development processes.
• Experience preparing stormwater, utility, and roadway plans.
