Cognac Drive Stormwater
The Cognac Drive project was designed to alleviate severe backyard erosion along the rear of residences located on Cognac Drive. The existing channel was piped for a distance of just over 1,400 ft. to handle offsite stormwater and a grass swale with area inlets installed to intercept runoff directly adjacent to the project. The improvements, located primarily on subdivision common ground, were sensitive to the proximity of the residents to the project, as well as to the existing trees along the project. A tree preservation plan was developed for the project to minimize tree removal and ensure the sustainability of the trees remaining in place along the project corridor.
